Wake
Up

A film about the repetitive, hectic cycles of daily life — and the possibility of breaking free.

WAKE UP

Director's Note

Wake Up began as a personal experiment: a challenge to make a film entirely on my own, with limited resources and complete creative freedom.

I wanted to move away from conventional storytelling by avoiding close-ups and facial expressions, particularly the eyes. Instead, I relied on body language and movement to communicate emotion, tension, and disconnection.

The film explores how stress, isolation, and repetitive routines can gradually make us lose touch with ourselves. But it also suggests that we can recognise these patterns and find a way to break free from them.
